Pittsburgh Public Schools have released a Statement of Sorrow this morning on the death of Tristan Taylor, who was shot and killed Wednesday night on Wilner Drive in East Hills. <\/p>\n
They described the 18-year-old as a quiet, friendly, respectful and hardworking young man who had graduated with honors last month.<\/p>\n
Tristian was planning to attend CCAC in the fall for business. <\/p>\n
The statement says the district cares deeply about the impact of gun violence on students, families and the community. <\/p>\n
They say they will be reaching out directly to Taylor’s family about his loss. <\/p>\n
The shooting happened around 10 p.m. on the 2200 block of Wilner Drive, after two men had gotten into an argument. <\/p>\n
Police say they found six shell casings on the scene. <\/p>\n
The victim was shot in the abdomen and pronounced dead at the scene.<\/p>\n
