Celebrate the nation\u2019s Semiquincentennial at one of these festive events, which are replete with parades, fireworks, and musical performances. <\/p>\n

Bala Cynwyd<\/a>: The Neighborhood Club of Bala Cynwyd\u2019s annual parade starts at the Union Fire House and ends at the playground at Bala Cynwyd Park, where there will be a rock wall, pony rides, a petting zoo, and music. \u23f0 Saturday, July 4, starts at 9:30 a.m. \ud83d\udcb5 Wristbands are $15-$45 \ud83d\udccd Union Fire House and Bala Cynwyd Park <\/p>\n

Ardmore<\/a>: The community will celebrate the nation\u2019s 250th anniversary with a ribbon cutting for its new mural, a \u201cfreedom walk,\u201d and crafts and sweet treats at Linwood Park. \u23f0 Saturday, July 4, 10 a.m.-1 p.m. \ud83d\udcb5 Free \ud83d\udccd Throughout Ardmore<\/p>\n

Penn Wynne<\/a>: The Penn Wynne Civic Association\u2019s annual celebration kicks off with a parade at 10 a.m. followed by a carnival at Penn Wynne Park. \u23f0 Saturday, July 4, 10 a.m.-12:30 p.m. \ud83d\udcb5 Wristbands are $10-$30 \ud83d\udccd Penn Wynne-Overbrook Hills Firehouse and Penn Wynne Park <\/p>\n

Narberth<\/a>: This daylong event<\/a> kicks off at 10 a.m. with a carnival, games, and pie-eating contest, which run until 1:30 p.m. After a break, the celebration continues at 6:30 p.m. with food trucks, live music, and a reading of the Declaration of Independence before the fireworks show. \u23f0 Saturday, July 4, 10 a.m.-1:30 p.m. and 6:30-10:30 p.m. \ud83d\udcb5 Free to attend, pay as you go for the carnival and food trucks \ud83d\udccd Narberth Park<\/p>\n

Residents can join in by decorating a bike or float. Blackbird Health opened a new clinic<\/a> last week at 225 E. City Ave. in Bala Cynwyd. The Pennsylvania-based chain offers mental healthcare for children, teens, and families. <\/p>\n
