Venues around our region are getting ready to celebrate Independence Day with fireworks and other patriotic events as the nation celebrates its 250th birthday.<\/p>\n
BERKS COUNTY<\/p>\n
Bern Township: The Berks County Fairgrounds will host its Star-Spangled Spectacular on July 4. The gates open at 12 p.m., and the event starts at 2 p.m. Reading Symphony Orchestra will be performing. There will also be food trucks, kids activities, and family fun. The event will conclude with fireworks at 9:30 p.m. Guests are encouraged to take lawn chairs or blankets for seating as well as a non-perishable food item for the Helping Harvest food bank. The fairgrounds is located at 1216 Hilltop Rd<\/p>\n
Boyertown: The Boyertown Freedom Fest will run from July 3 to July 11 at the Boyertown Area Historical Society. The celebration will feature the debut of the Bell Trail on July 3, a dance, a free movie, and more. The society is located at 43 S Chestnut St.<\/p>\n
Reading: The Reading Fightin Phils will face the New Hampshire Fisher Cats at FirstEnergy Stadium this week, with postgame MEGA BLAST fireworks on July 3 and 4. The R-Phils will also wear America 250 jerseys and hats. The stadium is located at 1950 Centre Ave.<\/p>\n
Reading: A patriotic ceremony will take place on July 8 in front of the Berks County Services Center on Reed Street, between Court and Washington streets. The event will begin at 11:30 a.m. with music by the Ringgold Band. The event will also feature the ringing of the Berks Liberty Bell and a reading of the Declaration of Independence.<\/p>\n
Shillington: Governor Mifflin Community Days will celebrate its 50th anniversary from June 26 to July 4 on the grounds of the middle and senior high schools. The event will feature more than 45 food and game stands, amusement rides, entertainment, and more. It will also host a parade on June 28 at 3:30 p.m., starting at Governor Mifflin Middle School and ending at Shillington Park. The event will conclude with fireworks at 10 p.m. on July 4. The high school is located at 130 E. Lancaster Ave.<\/p>\n
Union Township: Hopewell Furnace National Historic Site will celebrate America’s 250th birthday with a ceremony at 2 p.m. on July 4 on the steps of the Ironmaster’s Mansion. The public will be invited to take part in a shared reading of the Declaration of Independence. Other programming will be offered from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. Admission is free. Hopewell Furnace is located at 2 Mark Bird Ln., about five miles south of Birdsboro<\/p>\n
Wyomissing: The borough will host its Independence Day Parade and Celebration on July 4 at 10 a.m. The parade will consist of marching bands, floats, and more. It will be followed by a celebration at the Stone House, with music by the Wyomissing Band, a pie-eating contest, and more.<\/p>\n
BUCKS COUNTY<\/p>\n
Doylestown Township: The Old-Fashioned Fourth of July Celebration will be hosted on July 4 from noon to 4 p.m. at Fonthill Castle. It will consist of a children\u2019s bike parade, wheelbarrow and sack races, live music, food trucks, and more. Admission is $3 for ages 5 and under, $5 for ages 6-17 and $7 for 18 and up.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Quakertown:\u202fQuakertown Community Day will be at Memorial Park on July 4 from 8 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. It will include food, live music, a car show, and fireworks beginning at 9:30 p.m. Memorial Park is located at 600 W Mill St.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Lower Makefield Township:\u202f Shady Brook Farm will host a Summer unWINEd Concert with music provided by the Buzzerband and a fireworks display on July 3 from 5 to 10 p.m. The gates will open at 5 p.m., with music starting at 6 p.m. The farm is located at 931 Stony Hill Rd.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Upper Makefield Township: Washington Crossing Historic Park will host its Living History Day on July 4. It will consist of a military encampment, readings of the Declaration of Independence, live music, fireworks from 8 to 9:30 p.m., and more. Admission is free for ages 4 and under, $6 for ages 5 to 11, and $10 for older guests.<\/p>\n
CARBON COUNTY<\/p>\n
East Penn Township: Riverview Park\u2019s Independence Day Ceremony will begin at noon on July 4. The celebration will feature \u201cThe Liberty Song- Modern Arrangement\u201d a message from \u201cBenjamin Franklin to America in 2026.\u201d Excerpts from the Declaration of Independence will be included. The celebration will continue with the Declaration Ceremony at Marvin Gardens on July 8 at 6 p.m. The ceremony will feature the arrival of the rider bearing the Declaration. Residents are invited to gather for reflection and fellowship as East Penn\u202fTownship honors the voices of\u202f1776. Both events are free to the public.<\/p>\n
Lehighton: Lehighton\u2019s fireworks display will be hosted on Sgt. Stanley Hoffman Boulevard at 9:30 p.m. on July 4.\u202f\u00a0<\/p>\n
Franklin Township: Sunny Rest Resort Lodge will have a fireworks display on July 4 at 9 p.m. The resort is located at 425 Sunny Rest Rd.<\/p>\n
LEHIGH COUNTY\u00a0<\/p>\n
Upper Macungie Township: The American Class & America250 Celebration will be held at Valley Preferred Cycling Center on July 3 at 7 p.m. The competition will host food vendors, bounce houses, fireworks, and more. The center is at 1151 Mosser Rd.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Catasauqua:\u202fThe Catasauqua and North Catasauqua J4 Event will begin at 11 a.m. on July 4. Various activities, including a reading of the Declaration of Independence, flea market vendors, a cornhole tournament, will be held throughout the day. An evening fireworks display will be hosted at the Catasauqua Area School District football stadium. The celebration will be located at 511 St. John St. The rain date will be July 5.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n
Allentown:\u202fCoca-Cola Park will host \u201cLiberty Ignited: A Lehigh Valley Salute to America at 250\u201d on July 3 at 6:30 p.m. The event will feature guest appearances, a flag-raising ceremony, a drone show at 9 p.m., and fireworks. The stadium will also host the \u201cGreat American Blast\u201d celebration on July 4. Music, games and more entertainment will be available, along with a fireworks show at 9:15 p.m. The ballpark is located at 1050 IronPigs Way.<\/p>\n
South Whitehall Township: Dorney Park will host Star-Spangled Nights from July 3 to July 5 to celebrate Independence Day, complete with a fireworks show each evening. The park is located at 3880 Dorney Park Rd.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Catasauqua: George Taylor House will celebrate Independence Day from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on July 4. It will feature living-history reenactors, musical performances, house tours, and a reading of the Declaration of Independence. Admission is $10 per person.<\/p>\n
Macungie: Macungie Memorial Park will host a variety of activities to celebrate Independence Day from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m on July 4. It will feature a kids parade at 10 a.m., a duck race at 11 a.m., Macungie Band from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., a petting zoo, and more. The park is located at 50 Poplar St.<\/p>\n
Slatington: The Greater Northern Lehigh Chamber of Commerce Heritage Day will take place Saturday, July 4 at Slatington Baptist Church (509 Main Street, Slatington, PA 18088) from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Admission is free and open to the public.<\/p>\n
Washington Township:\u202fThe Emerald Fire Company\u2019s picnic and fireworks display will be held on July 11 from 4:30 to 10:30 p.m. The refreshment stand will open at 4:30 p.m. The celebration will also feature live music by Dropping Trou.The company is located at 7700 Penn St.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Whitehall Township: The Whitehall Township Block Party will be held on July 4 from 3 to 10 p.m. The celebration is free for anyone to attend and will feature a scavenger hunt, lawn games, an outdoor movie, and other entertainment.<\/p>\n
MONROE COUNTY<\/p>\n
Smithfield Township: Shawnee Mountain will host a fireworks display from 5:30 to 11:30 p.m. on June 27, along with vendors and a DJ. The rain date is June 28. Shawnee Mountain is located at 401 Hollow Rd.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Chestnuthill Township: The West End Fairgrounds will celebrate Independence Day between July 2 and July 4. Various activities will be held, such as military reenactors, junk car racing, demolition derby, live music, and fireworks beginning at 9:30 p.m. on July 2. Admission is $10 per car. The fairgrounds is located at 570 Fairground Rd.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Barrett Township: Skytop Lodge will host a variety of activities between July 2 and July 5 to celebrate Independence Day, complete with food trucks, music, and a fireworks show on July 3 at dusk. Parking for the fireworks will be held from 5 p.m. to 8:45 p.m. Skytop Lodge is located at 1 Skytop Dr.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Pocono Township:\u202fCamel Beach Mountain Waterpark will celebrate Independence Day on July 4 with live music, fireworks, and more beginning at 7:30 p.m. The Rubber Ducky Derby will return to benefit the American Cancer Society Relay for Life. The park is located at 301 Resort Dr.<\/p>\n
MONTGOMERY COUNTY<\/p>\n
Chalfont: The New Britain Township Tri-Municipal Parade will begin at 9:30 a.m. on July 4. It will run from the Town Center in New Britain Borough to North Branch Park.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Conshohocken:\u202fSutcliffe Park will host a fireworks display on July 3 at 9:15 p.m. on July 3. The Park is located at 960 Colwell Ln #2, Conshohocken, PA 19428.\u00a0<\/p>\n
King of Prussia- Upper Merion Township\u2019s Annual July 4 Celebration will return to Valley Forge National Historical Park on July 4 and run from 3 to 10 p.m. There will be a carnival, live music by the band Plush, fireworks at 9:15 p.m. The event is free to the public. Road closures may occur prior to the fireworks display. All vehicles will be directed to the Phucas Center parking lot across the street starting at 3 p.m.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Narberth: Narberth Park will host a carnival, dunk tank, pie eating contest, and more from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on July 4. The Park will also host a live reading of the Declaration of Independence and other evening activities from 6:30 to 9 p.m. The fireworks display will begin at 9:00 p.m. Fireworks attendees are not allowed to place blankets on the Park\u2019s field until 6 p.m.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Perkasie:\u202fPennridge Community Day will be held at Lenape Park on June 27 from 12 to 6 p.m. The Fire Carnival starts at 2 p.m., followed by fireworks at 9:30 p.m. The Park is located at 552-618 Constitution Ave, Perkasie, PA 18944.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Pottstown: Memorial Park\u2019s annual GoFourth Festival will begin on July 4 at 3 p.m. The celebration will feature live music, food trucks, a beer garden, vendors, and a fireworks display at 9:30 p.m. Guests can also take railroad excursions at the nearby Colebrookdale Railroad at South Washington Street. The park is located at 75 W King St. Railroad tickets are on Colebrookdale\u2019s official website.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Warrington Township:\u00a0Graeme Park will host a reading of the Declaration of Independence, tours of the Keith House, and other activities from 12 to 2 p.m. on July 4. Donations are accepted. The park is located at 859 County Line Rd.<\/p>\n
NORTHAMPTON COUNTY\u00a0<\/p>\n
Bethlehem:\u202f The city will feature a fireworks show at 9 p.m. on July 4 along with music provided by the Bethlehem Municipal Band. The celebration will be held at Pay Row Plaza outside City Hall, which is located at\u202f12 E. Church St.\u00a0The rain date is July 5 at the same time. Sayre Mansion will give guests a view of the fireworks from 5 to 9 p.m. Admission for the mansion is $79 per person and $29 per child 8 years old and under.<\/p>\n
Easton: Easton Heritage Day will feature a reading of the Declaration of Independence, Colonial and Civil War reenactors, live music, and more from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. on July 11. The event will take place in Centre Square.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Nazareth: Nazareth will host its annual Kazoo Parade at 9 a.m. on July 4. The parade will conclude at the Moravian Historical Society, which will host a community festival that will feature balloon rides, the Nazareth Farmers Market, the Nazareth Ukulele Band, activities, and more. The festival will run until 3 p.m. The society is located at 214 E. Center St.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Bethlehem: Sayre Mansion will host a food truck, cash bar, and more to celebrate Independence Day from 7 to 10 p.m. It will also host a fireworks display at 9 p.m. Guests must provide their own chairs or blankets. Admission is $5 per person. Sayre Mansion is located at 250 Wyandotte St.<\/p>\n
Bethlehem: ArtsQuest will run its Independence Day celebration July 3 and 4. The event will feature food trucks, a Hometown Heroes banner, and live music from a variety of bands. The fireworks party will begin at 7 p.m. and is for guests 21 years or older.<\/p>\n
CHESTER COUTY<\/p>\n
Kennett Square: Longwood Gardens will feature guided tours, live music and \u201cFireworks & Fountains\u201d shows from July 3 to July 5. Booking in advance is highly recommended due to tickets commonly being sold out.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Tredyffrin Township: Wilson Farm Park will host an Independence Day Celebration from 7 to 9 p.m. on July 4. It will feature music and a fireworks show. Guests are encouraged to bring blankets, chairs, and picnic dinners. The park is at 500 Lee Rd.<\/p>\n
PHILADELPHIA\u00a0<\/p>\n
Philadelphia: Wawa Welcomes America will run from June 19 to July 4 in Philadelphia. It will include firework displays, concerts, free museum days, and other entertainment. The celebration will culminate on July 4 with a concert on Benjamin Franklin Parkway and fireworks over the Philadelphia Art Museum.<\/p>\n
SCHUYLKILL COUNTY<\/p>\n
Orwigsburg:\u202fOrwigsburg will host America250 celebration from July 3 to July 4. It will include a community picnic at Albright\u2019s Woods on July 4 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., along with live music, food, and other activities. The parade will begin on July 4 at 9 a.m. at Blue Mountain High School.<\/p>\n
DAUPHIN COUNTY<\/p>\n
LANCASTER COUNTY<\/p>\n
Lititz: Lititz Spring Park will host a fireworks celebration at 9:30 p.m. on July 4. There will also be a Baby parade and a Lititz Lion\u2019s Club parade, food trucks, games, and fireworks beginning at 9:30 p.m. Admission is $16 in advance, $20 at the gate, $6 for ages 3-10 in advance and $8 for ages 3-10 at the gate. CAMDEN COUNTY, N.J.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Stratford: Mancini Field Stratford will host its annual Independence Day Celebration on July 4 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. The parade will kick off the ceremony at Yellin Intermediate School. Guests will head to Mancini Field after the parade\u2019s conclusion for contests, games, food, and other activities. The field is located at 211 yale Ave, Stratford, NJ, 08084.<\/p>\n
SUSSEX COUNTY, N.J.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Newton: The Great Divide Campground will host the Grateful Jamboree from July 2 at 3 p.m. to July 5 at 11 a.m. to celebrate Independence Day.
