A man was arrested on a murder charge days after police, responding to a vehicle crash in Erie, found a woman dead outside the vehicle on June 21.<\/p>\n
Justin De Nileon, 29, is facing one count of first-degree murder \u2013 after deliberation; and one count of violation of a protection order, according to online court records.<\/p>\n
About 1 a.m. June 21, Erie police were dispatched to the crash at Weld County Road 7 and Weld County Road 6, according to a Weld County District Attorney\u2019s Office news release posted Wednesday afternoon.\n<\/p>\n
When police arrived, they found the 28-year-old woman dead outside the vehicle.<\/p>\n
The amount and location of blood were not consistent with a vehicle crash or with a person being thrown from a vehicle, according to the release. A warrant was issued for De Nileon\u2019s arrest June 24, and he was arrested the next day.<\/p>\n
The release did not provide additional information about the crash or police response.<\/p>\n
De Nileon is being held without bond at the Weld County Jail. He is set to appear for a disposition hearing at 10 a.m. Sept. 2 in Weld County District Court, according to court records.<\/p>\n
De Nileon was arrested in a May Broomfield case on charges of second-degree kidnapping, felony menacing, and third-degree assault, according to online court records. He is set to appear for a preliminary hearing in that case at 1:30 p.m. July 23 for a preliminary hearing.\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n
