\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tTONIGHT, THE PARENTS OF A PENNSYLVANIA POLICE OFFICER WHO TOOK HIS OWN LIFE LAST YEAR ARE SUING LACEY PLUS AS WELL AS A SURGEON. 26 YEAR OLD RYAN KING WAS A PENN HILLS POLICE OFFICER WHO HAD DEBILITATING COMPLICATIONS AFTER GETTING THE EYE SURGERY. HIS FAMILY SAYS RYAN TOOK HIS OWN LIFE IN JANUARY OF 2025. AND IN THIS NEWLY FILED LAWSUIT, THE FAMILY ARGUES THAT RYAN WOULD NOT HAVE UNDERGONE LASIK IF HE WAS PROPERLY INFORMED BY THE COMPANY AND HIS DOCTOR. THEY CLAIM HE SHOULD HAVE BEEN CONSIDERED A HIGH RISK CANDIDATE, A LASIK CANDIDATE, BECAUSE OF HIS EYE MEASUREMENTS. BUT HE WAS NEVER WARNED BY THE DOCTOR OR TOLD ABOUT ALTERNATIVES TO LASIK.
