One man is facing criminal charges as Erie Bureau of Police detectives work to identify other suspects in three shootings in the city over the weekend.<\/p>\n
No one was reported injured in any of the incidents, although police said two people were reportedly shot at in one of them.<\/p>\n
The first shooting was reported Nov. 1 at 9:30 a.m. in the 300 block of West 21st Street. Officers were told by a witness that the witness heard four gunshots in the area at about 6:50 a.m., according to Erie police Deputy Chief Rick Lorah.<\/p>\n
Police reviewed Ring doorbell camera footage that Lorah said showed a man wearing black clothing walking in the area before turning. It appeared the man then fired a gun, he said.<\/p>\n
Officers found two shell casings in the 2100 block of Chestnut Street, Lorah said. Police had no suspects in the shooting Nov. 3.<\/p>\n
At about 3:30 p.m. Nov. 1, according to Lorah, Erie police received notification from the city’s ShotSpotter gunshot detection system that gunshots were fired in the 1900 block of Chestnut Street. Officers spoke to two people who said they were shot at following a domestic-related argument. They said during the argument, a man pulled out a gun and fired it at their vehicle, Lorah said.<\/p>\n
The suspect, whom police identified but was not in custody Nov. 3, is facing charges in the incident, Lorah said.<\/p>\n
Erie police are additionally investigating reports of shots fired in the area of East 22nd and Wallace streets on Nov. 2 at about 4:20 a.m. Officers who responded to the area found shell casings in the 2200 block of Wallace Street, Lorah said.<\/p>\n
Police had no suspects in that shooting Nov. 3.<\/p>\n
