The third time, they just shut it down,” said Brenda Stenhouse, who was at the pool.Some poolgoers who arrived as the situation unfolded said they were left without a refund.”I feel like they should really kick the big kids out and keep the little kids in there because it’s too hot,” Dixon said.About 20 minutes later, the Bloomfield pool also closed early for the day. Public safety officials said Zone 5 officers responded to a verbal disturbance and overcrowding at the pool on Ella Street. Officers helped disperse the crowd and close the pool without making arrests or issuing citations.These so-called “teen takeovers” have been advertised in other areas, and some city residents are voicing their frustration.”I’m sick of it, and I think parents need to get better control of their kids,” Stenhouse said.”If you want to hang out with some of your friends, then just hang out with your friends.
