Pennsylvania \u2013 Richard Snavely-led Family Life Ministries has filed a $2.25 million deal to buy two stations in two markets from Cumulus Media. They include CHR \u201cHot 106.7\u201d WWKL in the Harrisburg-Lebanon-Carlisle, PA market (No. 87) and \u201cSports Radio 96.7\u201d WLLF in the Youngstown-Warren, OH-PA (No. 136). Family Life Ministries already owns contemporary Christian WCDF (98.9) and silent WCDM (100.5) in the Harrisburg market. But Youngstown-Warren will be a new market for the religious broadcaster. Once the sale closes, Cumulus will still own hot AC \u201cWink 104.1\u201d WNNK, classic rock WTPA (93.5) and sports \u201cESPN Harrisburg\u201d WHGB in the Harrisburg-Lebanon Carlisle market. And in the Youngstown-Warren market, Cumulus will still own CHR \u201cHot 101.1\u201d WHOT, country \u201cK-105.1\u201d WQXK, AC \u201cZ-104\u201d WWIZ, classic rock \u201cY-103\u201d WYFM, \u201cNews Talk 790\u201d WPIC, and \u201cSports Radio 1240\u201d WBBW. Spokane, WA \u2013 The Oldies Preservation Society has filed a $750,000 deal to buy oldies \u201cKool 89.5\u201d KEWU from Eastern Washington University. The deal includes $360,000 in cash, a $100,000 promissory note, and $300,000 of in-kind underwriting announcements for Eastern Washington University. The promotional announcements will begin prior to closing, with The Oldies Preservation Society agreeing to buy $10,000 worth of ads on Spokane Broadcasting Company\u2019s \u201cNews Radio 107.1-1230\u201d KBNW-FM\/AM to promote KEWU\u2019s 75th anniversary celebration and the University overall. The Oldies Preservation Society is a partnership among Ron Hardin, Patricia Fogal, Bonnie Tapscott, and Robert Fogal. They don\u2019t own any other stations.<\/p>\n
Raleigh-Durham, NC \u2013 Chapelboro Media Group has filed a $525,000 deal to buy news-talk \u201cThe Hill\u201d WCHL (1360) from Chapel Hill Media Group. The deal also includes the Chapel Hill, SC-licensed translator W250BP at 97.9 FM. Buyer Chapelboro Media Group doesn\u2019t own any other stations. Once the deal closes, Chapel Hill Media Group exits ownership.<\/p>\n
Kentucky \u2013 Gene and Madonna McElfresh\u2019s GMC Holdings has filed a $390,000 deal to buy country WFLE, Flemingsburg, KY (95.1) from Donald Bowles\u2019 Dreamcatcher Communications. The deal includes $140,000 in seller financing. GMC Holding doesn\u2019t own any other stations. Once the sale closes, Dreamcatcher Communications will still own two FMs in the Cincinnati market.<\/p>\n
California \u2013 Common Frequency has filed to donate KCFQ, Santa Nella, CA (90.9) to Media Alliance. The new owners say they plan to air cultural programming featuring independent and grassroots voices on the signal.<\/p>\n

Providence-Warwick-Pawtucket, RI \u2013 John Fuller\u2019s Red Wolf Broadcasting has closed a $2.35 million deal to buy \u201cCat Country 98.1\u201d WCTK and classic hits WNBH (1340) from Hall Communications. The deal also includes the New Bedford, MA-licensed translator W267CY at 101.3 FM that relays WNBH. Red Wolf Broadcasting already owns tropical \u201cLatina 100.3\u201d WKKB and oldies \u201cKool Radio\u201d WSKP (1180) in the market. With the closing, Hall Communications still owns stations in the New London, CT; Burlington-Plattsburg, VT-NY; and Lakeland-Winter Haven, FL markets. South Dakota \u2013 Brookings Radio, operated by Cami Powers, her husband Derrick Powers, and Chad Hogie, has closed a $1.9 million deal to buy Connoisseur Media\u2019s cluster in Brookings, SD. It will acquire hot AC \u201cB-93.7\u201d KBRK-FM and adult standards KBRK (1430) licensed to Brookings, SD; classic rock \u201cThe Hawk 107.1\u201d KDBX licensed to Clear Lake, SD; and \u201cK-Country 102.3\u201d KKQQ-FM and classic country \u201cThe Ranch AM 910\u201d KJJQ licensed to Volga, SD. Cami Powers began her career in radio sales at the Brookings stations in 1994.<\/p>\n
Fort Smith, AR \u2013 Pearson Broadcasting has closed a $1.235 million deal to buy sports \u201cESPN Arkansas 93.7\u201d KHTL (93.7) from Baker Media. Pearson Broadcasting also owns sports \u201cESPN Arkansas\u201d KERX (95.3) in the market. With the closing, Baker Media will still own regional Mexican \u201cLa Raza 92.3\u201d KREU and CHR \u201cKisser\u201d KISR (950) and its translator simulcast the Fort Smith-licensed K226BS at 93.1 FM. The filing says Baker Media will enter into an HD usage agreement for the subchannels of KFSA in order to rebroadcast its translator-based formats in the market for a per channel fee of $150 per month. The HD2 channel currently relays the rock \u201cOutlaw 94.1\u201d format via the Fort Smith-licensed translator K231BS. The HD3 channel airs its classic rock format \u201cThe River 101.9\u201d via the Fort Smith-licensed translator K270BR. Vermont & New Hampshire \u2014 Jared Goodell\u2019s Community Media has closed ed an $850,000 deal to buy the classic rock \u201cThe Peak\u201d simulcast of WKKN, Westminster, VT (101.9) and WTHK, Wilmington, VT (100.7); sports WEEY, Swanzey, NH (93.5) and adult hits \u201cThe Penguin\u201d WFYX, Walpole, NH (96.3) from Jeff Shapiro\u2019s Great Eastern Radio. The deal also includes the Keene, NH-licensed translator W293AB at 106.5 FM. And the Jamaica, VT-licensed translator at 104.7 FM. Community Media already owns AC \u201cMagic 96.7\u201d WTSA-FM and country WTSA (1450) in Brattleboro, VT. With the closing, Greater Eastern will still own about a dozen stations in Vermont and New Hampshire.<\/p>\n
Cape Cod, MA \u2013 K-Love has closed a $362,000 deal to buy WKCC (107.5) from Cape Cod Broadcasting. The deal gives K-Love its first signal on the Cape, which now airs its flagship contemporary Chrisitan \u201cK-Love\u201d format. Cape Cod Broadcasting still owns country \u201cCape Country 104\u201d WKPE, soft AC \u201cOcean 104.7\u201d WOCN, and Hot AC \u201c99.9 The Q\u201d WQRC on the Cape.
