WYOMISSING, Pa. — As the heat wave continues, the Fourth of July and America 250 is almost here.<\/p>\n
“It means everything in the world to me because this is the greatest country in the world, and to be able to celebrate this at 250, that’s a milestone,” said Michael Gombar of Lower Heidelberg Township.<\/p>\n
A milestone celebration amid higher than average temps, even for July. People in Wyomissing are still braving the heat.<\/p>\n
“For kids and the average adults, I don’t think it’s going to be too much of an issue. For the most elderly it could be,” said Jeremy Wawrzonek, who plans to attend.<\/p>\n
With the parade and Fourth of July festivities still on, people are preparing and the borough is encouraging people to hydrate, seek out shady spots, and overall, find ways to keep cool.<\/p>\n
“We are used to walking and we stay in shape and we drink a lot of water,” said Gloria Gombar of Lower Heidelberg Township.<\/p>\n
With the hot sunny stage set in Wyomissing – people are preparing to celebrate as safely as possible.<\/p>\n
“It represents freedom what we wake up every day and be able to do,” said Gombar. Thanks to our veterans and all those currently serving as these flags here are awesome.”<\/p>\n
