FIFA will feature a lineup of local artists as part of the July 4 Round of 16 game at Lincoln Financial Field in the World Cup.<\/p>\n
Before France and Paraguay square off for a spot in the quarterfinals at 5 p.m., Tony Award winner Idina Menzel will sing the national anthem. The pregame festivities will start about a half-hour before kickoff, leading into the announcement of lineups, the procession of teams and flags and the national anthems of the participating nations.<\/p>\n
The Philadelphia Boys Choir and Chorale will perform \u201cAmerica the Beautiful,\u201d and Philadelphia\u2019s The Roots will also perform.<\/p>\n
Pregame ceremonies includes an appearance from Stephanie Skinner, Miss Pennsylvania; a tifo card display; and a flyover from VFA-11 and VFA-81 squadrons housed at the Naval Air Station Oceania in Virginia Beach.<\/p>\n
At halftime, DJ Jazzy Jeff will provide entertainment.<\/p>\n
Gates will open at 2 p.m., and FIFA is encouraging early entry given the stiflingly hot conditions that are forecast.<\/p>\n
