A firefighter was injured early Saturday morning while trying to put out a fire at a house in Lower Macungie Township.<\/p>\n
The Lower Macungie Fire Department said it responded to a single residence in the 1200 block of Stein Way around 12:30 a.m. with fire visible from the roof.<\/p>\n
A \u201cmayday\u201d call was put out when a firefighter fell through a stairwell while conducting a search inside. He was quickly rescued and was treated on the scene with minor injuries, Lower Macungie Fire said.<\/p>\n
Because of worsening conditions, crews were evacuated from the building and master streams were operated.<\/p>\n
Two residents were displaced and the fire remains under investigation by the township fire marshal.<\/p>\n
