Trevor Zegras and Jamie Drysdale, two of the Flyers’ restricted free agents, filed for salary arbitration ahead of Sunday’s 5 p.m. ET deadline.<\/p>\n
Zegras and Drysdale are the Flyers’ most notable RFAs. As expected, they were extended qualifying offers<\/a> last Monday, along with Nikita Grebenkin and Hunter McDonald.<\/p>\n With Zegras and Drysdale filing for arbitration, the club and each player’s respective side can go to a hearing overseen by an independent arbitrator to settle on a salary. The dates for the hearings have yet to be announced. They can start as early as July 20.<\/p>\n The Flyers can still negotiate and strike deals with Zegras and Drysdale before then. That oftentimes happens, but we’ll see if that’s the case here.<\/p>\n There hasn’t been any real concern this offseason about the Flyers re-signing their RFAs.
