OBITUARY

Robert E. Gattorna Sr., 88, of Clarks Green, Pennsylvania, entered the presence of his Savior on June 20, 2026. He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Karen (Hancock) Gattorna.

Born on July 8, 1937 in Chicago, Illinois, he was the son of the late John J. Gattorna and Maybelle (Graham) Gattorna. Bob achieved a successful business career spanning more than 30 years, including Executive roles at CIGNA and People Management, and was co-owner with Karen of Gattornas Creative Framing.

Bob’s life took a new direction after a missions conference led him to pursue full-time ministry. He and Karen became missionaries with ABWE and were called to Washington Baptist Church in Turnersville, NJ, where he served as Senior Pastor from 1992-2006.

In retirement, Bob continued serving faithfully as a volunteer Pastor at Parker Hill Church (now LCBC Church) where he led Prime Time shepherding and teaching a group of over 125 retirees from 2006-2013.

Also surviving are children: Beverly; Robert Jr. and wife, Linda; Tom and wife, Jen; and grandchildren: Trevor (partner Kate), Chelsea (husband Jesse), Kyle (wife Alyssa), Spencer, Phil, Alex, and Sara; as well as numerous other extended family members.

Bob was predeceased by his parents and his brothers, David and John.

Bob is remembered for his love and dedication to his family and God. He shared many hobbies and passions with his wife and children, and was equally interested in his grandchildren’s activities and endeavors. He faithfully prayed for his family. Grounded in his faith, Bob considered it a joy to study Scripture and offer Biblical wisdom. It was his honor to serve God and others in ministry. Bob kept a plaque in his office that read, He is no fool who gives up what he cannot keep in order to gain what cannot be lost.

A memorial service celebrating Bob’s life and his eternal gain will be held on August 1, 2026 at 2:00 PM at LCBC Church (607 N. Abington Road, Clarks Summit, PA), with Pastor Mark Stuenzi officiating.
