King \u2013 Scranton Times-Tribune"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>\t\t\tPaul J. King \t\t<\/p>\n<p>\t\t\tOBITUARY\t\t<\/p>\n<p>Paul J. King, 89, of Dickson City, died after a brief illness on Sunday, June 28, 2026, at the Allied Hospice Inpatient Unit, Scranton. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Ann Marie Umile King, who died on February 12, 1997, and his second wife, Sharon Chandler Kieler King, who died on April 23, 2026.<\/p>\n<p>\nPaul was born in Scranton, he was the son of the late Cy and Catherine Casey King, and he was a faithful member of St. Carlo Acutis Parish at St. Patrick\u2019s Church, Olyphant. He was a graduate of Olyphant High School, and he served in the US Army. He was employed by Golo Footwear, Dunmore and he retired as a supervisor at Specialty Records, Olyphant.<\/p>\n<p>\nPaul was a loving husband to his wives. He played football while in high school, and he was an avid sports fan. He enjoyed hunting, golfing and watching the New York Yankees (his favorite team) with his wife, Sharon. He was also a diehard fan of the New York Giants. Pauls family would like to thank the nursing staff at Geisinger Community Medical Center and the staff at Allied Hospice, especially Gary, for the wonderful care he received. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends.<\/p>\n<p>\nSurviving are several cousins, in-laws, stepchildren, and friends.<\/p>\n<p>\nPer Paul\u2019s request, there will be no public calling hours. A funeral mass will be offered on Tuesday, July 7, 2026, at 10 a.m. in St. Patrick\u2019s Church, 200 Delaware Ave., Olyphant, PA. Interment of cremains will take place at St. Patrick\u2019s Cemetery, Blakely. Arrangements are by the Frank T. Mazur Funeral Home Inc., 601 Dundaff St., Dickson City.<\/p>\n<p>\nMemorial contributions may be made to the donors favorite charity.
