WYOMISSING, Pa.- A Berks County fiber internet provider has a new owner.<\/p>\n

FastBridge Fiber of Wyomissing has been acquired by Greenlight Networks.<\/p>\n

Financial terms of the deal, which was first announced in November of 2025, haven’t been disclosed.<\/p>\n

FastBridge Fiber currently serves customers in the area of Buffalo, New York, as well as several Pennsylvania communities, including Reading, Shillington, Sinking Spring, West Reading and Wyomissing in Berks County.<\/p>\n

The deal expands Greenlight’s workforce significantly, with 120 FastBridge employees joining Greenlight\u2019s 250 employees, the company said in a news release.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Greenlight,\u00a0founded in 2011, is based in Rochester, New York, and, according to the news release,\u00a0currently serves more than 320,000 homes and businesses in New York, Pennsylvania and Maryland.<\/p>\n

The company been actively expanding its footprint in the Northeast. Last year, Greenlight acquired the Scranton-based Loop Internet.<\/p>\n

In April, Greenlight announced a $62 million expansion to bring its fiber internet network to the Lehigh Valley.<\/a>\u00a0More than half of that investment was earmarked for building the needed infrastructure within the city of Bethlehem.<\/p>\n

Greenlight said it expected more than 22,000 homes and businesses to gain access to its network through the Lehigh Valley expansion.<\/p>\n

FastBridge has updated its website to include information about the acquisition. The company said customers won’t notice any changes: customer service, billing and support remain the same.<\/p>\n

“It\u2019s business as usual, and there\u2019s nothing you need to do,” the company wrote.<\/p>\n

FastBridge also said its prices and name will remain the same, with the company promising to notify its customers well in advance if that should change.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"WYOMISSING, Pa.- A Berks County fiber internet provider has a new owner.
