A dispute over an ice cube tray was at the root of an argument resulting in multiple charges against a Blakely man, police said.<\/p>\n
Alan Smith, 32, of 722 W. Lackawanna Ave., allegedly head-butted his landlord when he was asked about the tray.<\/p>\n
Police were called to the residence at about 6 a.m. on Tuesday for the report of an assault.<\/p>\n
Responding officers spoke with Anthony Rinaldi, the building\u2019s landlord.\u00a0Rinaldi said Smith came to his part of the house and the two began arguing over an ice cube tray Smith allegedly stole from another tenant.<\/p>\n
The argument turned violent and Smith head-butted Rinaldi, then put him in a headlock, police said.<\/p>\n
Rinaldi told police that, at one point, he lost consciousness.<\/p>\n
During an interview with police, Smith said he went to discuss a money matter with Rinaldi and Rinaldi started an argument.<\/p>\n
