{"id":236949,"date":"2026-07-06T20:16:42","date_gmt":"2026-07-06T20:16:42","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-pa\/236949\/"},"modified":"2026-07-06T20:16:42","modified_gmt":"2026-07-06T20:16:42","slug":"kelleys-island-police-urge-residents-to-conserve-water-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-pa\/236949\/","title":{"rendered":"Kelleys Island police urge residents to conserve water"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>KELLEYS ISLAND \u2014 Rain showers Sunday night into Monday morning are causing flooding issues on Kelleys Island.<\/p>\n<p>The Village of Kelleys Island Police Department said the island received approximately 15 inches of rain, and it&#8217;s asking residents to conserve water usage until further notice. The department said it&#8217;ll help get levels and pumps working back to normal.<\/p>\n<p>Additionally, the rain has caused a lot of flooding, including on W. Lakeshore, which is impassable between 127 and 135 W. Lakeshore.<\/p>\n<p>Kelleys Island is under a Flood Advisory until 10 a.m. on Monday. It was previously a Flash Flood Warning, but that has since expired.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Due to the last nights rain, there are numerous flooded roads and trees or limbs down. We ask that if you\u2019re traveling on the island you proceed with caution,&#8221; the police department said.<\/p>\n<p>Kelleys Island Ferry is still running.
