Of the $43,933 in township tax liens against the Dhaka Club Party Center at 8919 West Chester Pike, about $12,000 has been satisfied. Some of the liens against that business were filed as recently as last month, county court records show.\u00a0<\/p>\n
State records show that Sayduzzaman\u2019s wife, Tanzina Hossain, jointly owns the Dhaka Club Party Center with Mohammad Ikbal<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n In Sayduzzaman\u2019s newly filed financial disclosure, he lists the club as one of his sources of income over $1,300, but he denied ownership, saying he listed it because it belongs to his wife. The state corporation database lists Hossain as president of the Dhaka Club Party Center LLC, alongside Mohammad Ikbal, who is also listed as president and governor.\u00a0<\/p>\n A third party, Mohammad Rahman, whose name appears on the deed, told Broad + Liberty the club belongs to him.<\/p>\n \u201cThis is mine,\u201d Rahman said. It has \u201cnothing to do with Tanzina. I am going to pay [the liens]. Everything is in my name for a couple of years.\u201d<\/p>\n In his new financial disclosure filing dated June 6, 2026, Sayduzzaman listed his business interests as: New Hope Home Care, New Hope Prospects LLC, Premium Properties Service, AHNAF Consultants Service, Dhaka Club Party Center LLC, GHI International LLC, Line Comfort Home Care, and 3 Kelly Drive LLC. None of those appeared on his original filing.<\/p>\n The form also showed that he had transferred New Hope Home Care \u2014 the one source of income he listed on his original ethics form \u2014 to Tanzina Hossain, his wife. When Broad + Liberty tried to reach Tanzina Hossain for comment, Sayduzzaman responded instead, saying despite what the form indicated, New Hope Home Care is his business.<\/p>\n \u201cI am handling the home care business, and my partner\u2019s wife is managing the home care business,\u201d Sayduzzaman said.<\/p>\n Sayduzzaman said New Hope Home Care is the only one of his businesses that is profitable and that the others, because of various expenses, are not \u2014 though they remain \u201cassets,\u201d he said. Some 600 to 700 caregivers are employed by New Hope Home Care, he added.<\/p>\n \u201cAnd we bill Medicaid and HHS [the state Department of Health and Human Services] system in Pennsylvania, the department of welfare, and insurance companies,\u201d Sayduzzaman said. He said those entities audit the business annually.<\/p>\n The new ethics form still left out required information, including how much he earns as Upper Darby treasurer, any nonprofit affiliations, and the addresses for each business.<\/p>\n Documents also show the IRS filed a federal tax lien<\/a> of $230,347 against Sayduzzaman and Hossain as of Sept. 30, 2024. Ethics rules require that creditors owed more than $6,500 be reported on the disclosure. This federal tax lien does not appear on the new form either.<\/p>\n Sayduzzaman acknowledged the IRS lien when speaking with Broad + Liberty, calling it a \u201cpersonal issue.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cPeople owe me money, and I owe money,\u201d he said, and offered to sit down with his consultant and lawyer for a discussion.<\/p>\n Asked whether a large personal tax lien reflects on his fitness to serve as treasurer, Sayduzzaman said that the township\u2019s chief administrative officer is responsible for the township\u2019s finances and gives him quarterly reports to review. Sayduzzaman said he does not actually handle the township\u2019s money. As the elected treasurer, he is paid $7,500 annually.<\/p>\n Meanwhile, Sayduzzaman and Hossain are developers of a property at 600 Garrett Road, the former Buick dealership. The township granted waivers in May so that the project, under the name New Hope LLC<\/a>, could proceed. A lawyer involved said at a township meeting that they had received a construction loan of more than $5 million to redevelop the site.<\/p>\n Sayduzzaman said it was \u201ca very old building\u201d and that they had worked two years to secure all the permits.<\/p>\n \u201cWe do nothing wrong,\u201d he said. \u201cWe follow all the guidelines as well as business guidelines. I do everything legally.\u201d<\/p>\n The couple also acquired a commercial property in Lansdowne under the name 3 Kelly Drive LLC, though the property address is actually 3 Kelly Street. The LLC is listed in his disclosure.<\/p>\n When Broad + Liberty called Sayduzzaman to ask additional questions for this article, he said his lawyer told him he didn\u2019t need to speak to the press. Sayduzzaman hung up when asked for the attorney\u2019s name.<\/p>\n After the May 21 Broad + Liberty article<\/a> on financial disclosure requirements was published, a handful of Upper Darby employees and Zoning Hearing Board Chair Alfonso Zamora also filed updated financial disclosure forms. Zamora listed project manager as his occupation but did not name a company.
