The 62nd Street Bridge was closed in both directions during the Tuesday morning commute after the truck flipped on its side Monday night<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tNOW. WHAT CAN YOU TELL US? I MEAN, HONESTLY, LILY, THIS IS JUST A MESS. THEY ARE WORKING TO CLEAN IT UP, BUT THEY ARE EXPECTING THE 62ND STREET BRIDGE TO BE CLOSED THROUGH RUSH HOUR, CAUSING JUST A MASSIVE TRAFFIC HEADACHE. I DO WANT TO GET OUT OF THE WAY SO YOU CAN TAKE A LIVE LOOK AT THE SCENE. NOW THAT THE SUN IS UP, YOU CAN GET A BETTER LOOK AT THIS WHOLE SITUATION. SO YOU CAN SEE THAT TRACTOR TRAILER IS STILL ON ITS SIDE THIS MORNING. SO WHENEVER I WAS SPEAKING WITH SOME OFFICIALS HERE ON SCENE, THEY SAID WHAT THEY HAVE TO DO RIGHT NOW IS FLIP THAT TRACTOR TRAILER BACK UP, CLEAR IT OUT, AND THEN TOW IT OFF. NOW, WHENEVER WE\u2019RE TALKING ABOUT THIS HAZMAT SITUATION, THAT TRAILER WAS CARRYING PEROXIDE SO THAT PEROXIDE SPILLED ON THE BRIDGE, THEY HAD TO USE SODA ASH TO THEN BASICALLY NEUTRALIZE THAT AND MAKE SURE THAT IT DIDN\u2019T GET IN THE DRAINAGE SYSTEM. SO THAT IS WHERE THAT ALL HAPPENED. NOW WE\u2019RE JUST IN THIS CLEANUP PROCESS HERE. SO AGAIN, GOING TO BE A LENGTHY PROCESS. WE\u2019RE GOING TO KEEP YOU UPDATED ON ALL OF THAT. THIS ALL HAPPEN WHENEVER THAT TRACTOR TRAILER WENT INTO THAT MIDDLE BARRIER AND JUST ROLLED OVER. LUCKILY NO INJURIES WER\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n
