(WTAJ) \u2014 Two people were seriously injured after hitting a bridge on the PA Turnpike in Bedford County, according to state police.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">The crash happened in Napier Township on the Turnpike between mile markers 138.1 and 138.2 and involved two Freightliners.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">According to troopers, a Freightliner was legally parked on the shoulder with its hazard lights flashing when a second Freightliner, traveling west, side-swiped it. This caused the second Freightliner to begin to lose control and drive off the roadway into the grass before hitting a bridge abutment.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">First responders had to pull the female driver and male passenger, both from Grove City, from the wreckage. They were rushed to Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center with trauma injuries.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">The driver and passenger in the parked Freightliner reported no injuries.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Copyright 2026 Nexstar Media, Inc.
