A family of ducks received a special police escort by Officer Munoz through downtown Erie after finding themselves in a potentially dangerous situation near traffic.<\/p>\n
The rescue was captured on video by Alyssa Rubilotta, who was dining at Dave’s Diner on July 4 when she noticed an Erie police officer stepping in to help the wandering ducks.<\/p>\n
According to Rubilotta, the officer temporarily blocked traffic and carefully guided the family of nine ducks toward Second Street, ensuring they could move safely through the busy downtown area without being endangered by passing vehicles.<\/p>\n
Once the ducks reached a safer location, they were transported to the water, where they could continue their journey and swim freely without the risk of being struck by a car.<\/p>\n
