BUTLER TWP., Pa. – The Pennsylvania State Police trooper who lost his life in the line of duty last week will be laid to rest Wednesday.<\/p>\n

The funeral for Trooper Michael Pahira Jr. will take place at North Schuylkill High School in Butler Township.<\/p>\n

Visitation will go from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m., and the funeral will follow at 11 a.m.<\/p>\n

State police said there will be heavy traffic volume in the area, including Route 61, with delays expected throughout the day.<\/p>\n

Pahira was killed last Wednesday when he was hit by a truck on I-81.<\/p>\n

The Department of Homeland Security says the driver has been living in the U.S. illegally.<\/p>\n
