{"id":237721,"date":"2026-07-07T18:29:07","date_gmt":"2026-07-07T18:29:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-pa\/237721\/"},"modified":"2026-07-07T18:29:07","modified_gmt":"2026-07-07T18:29:07","slug":"new-chaperone-policy-going-into-effect-at-sandcastle","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-pa\/237721\/","title":{"rendered":"New chaperone policy going into effect at Sandcastle"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A new chaperone policy will go into effect on Friday at Sandcastle. <\/p>\n<p>Anyone under 15 must be accompanied by a chaperone, and anyone who can&#8217;t provide a valid ID that they are at least 16 will be denied entry.<\/p>\n<p>Each chaperone must be at least 21 and can accompany up to six guests who are 15 or younger, unless they&#8217;re part of an organized or ticketed group like a church or school. <\/p>\n<p>Sandcastle says the new policy will enhance safety and security measures while maintaining a family friendly environment for its visitors. <\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s the latest chaperone policy around the area.<\/p>\n<p>Market Square and Kennywood both have instituted policies over the past few months amid an uptick in so-called &#8220;teen takeovers&#8221;.  <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"A new chaperone policy will go into effect on Friday at Sandcastle.
