Walnut St., in mid-June.<\/p>\n<p>For its soft-opening phase this week, the bakery will operate 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday.<\/p>\n<p>Beginning next week, the bakery will operate Tuesday through Saturday, and regular expanded hours will be announced soon on the business\u2019 social media pages, Vandecasteele said.<\/p>\n<p>A grand opening celebration, held in conjunction with the Allentown Chamber of Commerce, will be held 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. on July 14. The celebration will feature mini samples of baked goods and a 5 p.m. ribbon-cutting ceremony.<\/p>\n<p>                        <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"data:image\/png;base64,iVBORw0KGgoAAAANSUhEUgAAAAQAAAADCAQAAAAe\/WZNAAAAEElEQVR42mM8U88ABowYDABAxQPltt5zqAAAAABJRU5ErkJggg==\" alt=\"sophistique 5.jpg\" class=\"img-responsive lazyload full blur\" width=\"1247\" height=\"1663\" data- data-\/><\/p>\n<p>             <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-pa\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/69ea8baa24398.image.jpg\" alt=\"\" aria-hidden=\"true\" loading=\"lazy\" height=\"267\" width=\"200\"\/><\/p>\n<p>                                    Sophistiqu\u00e9 &#8211; French Bakery<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis is like a dream coming true,\u201d Vandecasteele told 69\u00a0News. \u201cI didn\u2019t expect to expand so quickly.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The bakery\u2019s forthcoming location will operate near 10th and Hamilton streets, across from the Moxy Allentown Downtown Hotel.<\/p>\n<p>It will occupy a renovated space that previously housed a cigar shop.<\/p>\n<p>Street parking will be available, and there also will be a small parking lot behind the Hamilton Street property, Vandecasteele said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m very excited,\u201d Vandecasteele told 69 News.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSince the new place is going to be bigger, I\u2019ll have a separate, bigger kitchen where I can make more items.
