A teen walked into a Philadelphia hospital overnight after being shot in the leg in the city’s Grays Ferry community and, police say, an investigation into the incident is now underway.<\/p>\n
According to Philadelphia Police Chief Inspector Scott Small, the incident unfolded just before midnight on Tuesday, when a 17-year-old boy walked into a Philly hospital after he had been shot in the leg.<\/p>\n
He was hospitalized in stable condition, Small said.<\/p>\n
Small said investigators quickly learned the boy was shot in an incident that happened along the 1600 block of South Newkirk Street. <\/p>\n
Though, Small could not immediately provide further details on the incident, nor could he describe any suspects sought in this incident.<\/p>\n
But, he said, an investigation into this incident is underway.<\/p>\n
