CASA of Berks County has announced the appointment of Laura Biancone, MSW as its new Executive Director.<\/p>\n
Biancone brings a wealth of nonprofit leadership experience, community engagement, and a deep commitment to serving vulnerable populations. Most recently, she served as Executive Director of the LGBT Center of Greater Reading, where she guided the organization through a period of significant growth and strengthened partnerships throughout Berks County.<\/p>\n
\u201cLaura has been a transformational Executive Director for the LGBT Center of Greater Reading,\u201d said Kai Miller, acting president of the board of directors for the LGBT Center of Greater Reading. \u201cShe took the helm at a pivotal moment for our organization, and we are pleased to see her bring that same leadership to CASA. She has worked tirelessly to connect people and organizations in Berks County, and we look forward to seeing the difference she makes for CASA and the families it serves.<\/p>\n

Biancone is well known to the CASA organization, as she previously served as volunteer supervisor. As Executive Director, Biancone will lead CASA of Berks County in advancing its mission to advocate for children who have experienced abuse and neglect by recruiting, training, and supporting volunteer Court Appointed Special Advocates. Her leadership will focus on strengthening community partnerships, expanding volunteer engagement, and ensuring that every child served has a dedicated advocate to help them achieve a safe, permanent, and nurturing home.<\/p>\n
