BUTLER TWP., Pa. – State Police, family, friends and community members are preparing to say goodbye to Trooper Michael Pahira Jr. Wednesday morning in Schuylkill County.<\/p>\n
Trooper Pahira was hit and killed during a traffic stop on interstate 81 last week.<\/p>\n
We’re following Wednesday’s funeral services with Team Coverage.\u00a0The funeral will be livestreamed on wfmz.com<\/a> at 11 a.m.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n North Schuylkill School District mourns loss of Trooper Michael Pahira, Class of 2001 alum<\/a><\/p>\n Those services are taking place at North Schuylkill Junior\/Senior High School on Academy Lane.<\/p>\n The procession passed by for Trooper Pahira on Fountain Street, and it was a somber sight, seeing all of these agencies come together to honor one of their own. The procession made its way through an archway set up by a handful of neighboring fire departments, representing how many agencies are showing their support.<\/p>\n Wednesday’s funeral services are now underway, with visitation running until 10 a.m. The funeral will follow at 11 a.m. Both of these are open to the public.<\/p>\n
