A Monday drug bust in Dunmore led to felony charges against two local residents accused of selling two bundles of fentanyl for $300.<\/p>\n
At about 5 p.m., investigators from the Lackawanna County district attorney\u2019s office, Pennsylvania State Police Vice Unit and Dunmore police served a warrant at Room 307 of the Sleep Inn, 102 Monahan Ave.<\/p>\n
Officers were attempting to apprehend Kyle James Romanowski, wanted by the Pennsylvania Board of Probation and Parole.<\/p>\n
According to the criminal complaint, investigators found Romanowski and Aminda Belvedere inside the room. When Belvedere sat up from the hotel bed, a glassine packet stamped \u201cMail Man\u201d in blue ink fell from her body.<\/p>\n
Officers found Romanowski to be in possession of glassine packets and a cellphone wrapped in aluminum foil.<\/p>\n
A search of the room yielded drug paraphernalia, including straws, burned aluminum foil, glass surfaces with drug residue, a digital scale and additional glassine packaging.<\/p>\n
Investigators observed that some of the glassine packets contained what they believed to be fentanyl, according to the complaint.<\/p>\n
During an interview with investigators, Belvedere admitted she and Romanowski had been involved in a drug transaction in Dunmore.<\/p>\n
She told police someone paid her $100 through a Cash App account and then paid Romanowski $200 in cash.<\/p>\n
Belvedere said the transaction involved the delivery of two bundles of fentanyl, totaling 20 individual bags, and $100 worth of crack cocaine, according to the complaint.<\/p>\n
Investigators reviewed digital records and confirmed the Cash App transaction.<\/p>\n
Belvedere said Romanowski delivered the fentanyl and crack cocaine to the buyer.<\/p>\n
Both face charges of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance and possession of paraphernalia.<\/p>\n
Romanowski is also charged with flight to avoid apprehension, and Belvedere with criminal use of a communication device.<\/p>\n
District Judge Alyce Farrell denied Romanowski bail at a Tuesday arraignment.<\/p>\n
Belvedere remains at Lackawanna County Prison in lieu of $200,000 bail.<\/p>\n
