{"id":240172,"date":"2026-07-10T13:05:07","date_gmt":"2026-07-10T13:05:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-pa\/240172\/"},"modified":"2026-07-10T13:05:07","modified_gmt":"2026-07-10T13:05:07","slug":"hbos-task-is-filming-in-drexel-hill","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-pa\/240172\/","title":{"rendered":"HBO\u2019s \u2018Task\u2019 is filming in Drexel Hill"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) \u2014 KYW Newsradio made a cameo in the first season of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.audacy.com\/kywnewsradio\/entertainment\/task-hbo-ruffalo-inglesby-e67f4465550e1aaac1dbf5f8618b6ceb\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">HBO\u2019s \u201cTask.\u201d<\/a> Now, Drexel Hill, Delaware County, is getting a starring role.<\/p>\n<p>The show has begun filming on Woodland Avenue between Highland and Edmonds avenues.<\/p>\n<p>Rob Ellis, public information officer for Upper Darby Township, <a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/vTamCNLh9nA?si=JlPQG0vWoyAQle5d\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">posted a video on YouTube<\/a> to get the word out about the road closures.<\/p>\n<p>He said production is taking place there between July 9 and 11, then again on July 16.<\/p>\n<p>Ellis even made a pitch to the show\u2019s producers: \u201cI\u2019m ready, I\u2019m prepared to jump in there. Not just a cameo \u2014 I want a featured role. I smell an Emmy in my future.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The show already has its star in Mark Ruffalo.
