(WPVI) &#8212; Police in Lower Merion Township are warning residents to secure their homes against burglars.<\/p>\n<p class=\"EkqkG IGXmU nlgHS yuUao lqtkC TjIXL aGjvy \">Authorities say thieves recently targeted homes while the owners were away, in neighborhoods like Bryn Mawr and Wynnewood.<\/p>\n<p class=\"EkqkG IGXmU nlgHS yuUao lqtkC TjIXL aGjvy \">Investigators believe some of these crimes may be connected to a South American Theft organization.<\/p>\n<p class=\"EkqkG IGXmU nlgHS yuUao lqtkC TjIXL aGjvy \">&#8220;We&#8217;re hitting the heart of the summer here, people are on vacation or they&#8217;re traveling abroad,&#8221; said Lt. Michael Keenan, with the Lower Merion Twp.
