According to the Treasury, the funds will be used to support community engagement initiatives.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Since taking office in 2021, Garrity said the Pennsylvania Treasury has returned more than $1 billion in unclaimed property, including a record of more than $334 million last year.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Treasury is currently working to return more than $5 billion in unclaimed property to its rightful owners. According to the agency, more than one in 10 Pennsylvanians is owed unclaimed property, with the average claim valued at more than $1,000.<\/p>\n<p> <a href=\"https:\/\/ziplink.us\/t\/insJr7CZsw51pPFM\" data-reference=\" Patriot Ad \" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">  <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-pa\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/Patriot-7-1.jpeg\"\/>  <\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Unclaimed property can include dormant bank accounts, uncashed checks, forgotten stocks, collectible coins, jewelry and savings bonds, including items recovered from safe deposit boxes.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Pennsylvania residents can search for unclaimed property through the Pennsylvania Treasury\u2019s database.<\/p>\n<p> <a href=\"https:\/\/synap.so\/t\/o1HTDIanV38qPu8HbyeCoIZpnqBEefpH2oyHIUxC6OL2wJI5D36F7Xam\" data-reference=\"Johnnies\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">  <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-pa\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/Johnnies-7-8.jpeg\"\/>  <\/a> <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Pennsylvania Treasurer Stacy Garrity announced the return of $218,463.82 in unclaimed property to Penn State Health.
