The funds will be used for community engagement.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cReturning unclaimed property to organizations, nonprofits and government entities isn\u2019t just about restoring lost funds, it\u2019s about providing vital resources to those who deliver care and support to our communities,\u201d Treasurer Garrity said. \u201cBy returning these funds back to Penn State Health, we\u2019re able to help them strengthen their mission and make a meaningful difference in the lives of patients and their families.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe appreciate Treasurer Garrity and the Pennsylvania Treasury for identifying and returning these funds to Penn State Health,\u201d Dr. Genao said. \u201cThese dollars will support our efforts to strengthen community engagement initiatives that improve health and well-being across the communities we serve.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Since taking office in 2021, Treasurer Garrity has returned more than $1 billion in unclaimed property, including a record of over $334 million last year.<\/p>\n<p>Treasury is working to return more than $5 billion in unclaimed property to its rightful owners.
