ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) \u2014 A Rochester man has been sentenced to more than seven years in federal prison for trafficking firearms from Pennsylvania into New York.<\/p>\n
Todd L. Addison, 38, was sentenced to seven years and three months in prison after being convicted of firearms trafficking, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office.<\/p>\n
Prosecutors said Addison purchased as many as seven firearms from federally licensed dealers in Pennsylvania on multiple occasions between March and Aug. 27, 2025. He then transported the guns to New York and illegally sold them to people in Rochester.<\/p>\n
One of the firearms had an obliterated serial number, prosecutors said.<\/p>\n
Authorities said Addison knew at least one person who purchased a gun from him was a convicted felon who intended to dispose of the weapon illegally.<\/p>\n
On Aug. 27, 2025, agents and law enforcement searched Addison’s Hudson Avenue home and a vehicle he used to travel to Pennsylvania.<\/p>\n
Investigators recovered a 9 mm semiautomatic pistol, 56 rounds of ammunition and pistol magazines from the vehicle, according to prosecutors.<\/p>\n
Inside the home, investigators found empty handgun boxes, several pistol holders and a gun-cleaning kit.<\/p>\n
