Emergency alert and initial concernThe incident unfolded Tuesday afternoon when emergency dispatchers in West Virginia alerted Pennsylvania authorities about the girl, who had allegedly consumed bleach at a campground in Preston County. “Ultimately, there were some people in the campground that noticed her condition who urged Mrs. Miller to take the child to the hospital,” Fayette County District Attorney Michael Aubele, said. “The boy who was also in the vehicle with them urged her to take the child to the hospital. It was very clear to us that she was not going to take her anywhere.” Police response and arrestState police located the car driving toward Fayette County. Troopers found the girl in the back seat suffering from an active seizure and restrained by multiple seatbelts.
