Thursday night\u2019s game between the Philadelphia Phillies and New York Mets at Citizens Bank Park will start an hour earlier due to ongoing air quality concerns. <\/p>\n

The game \u2013 initially scheduled to begin at 7:10 p.m. ET \u2013 was moved up to 6:10 p.m. ET, the Phillies announced on Thursday, July 16. The Third Base\/Left Field gates will still open at 5:10 p.m. while all other gates will open at 5:40 p.m.<\/p>\n

Smoke from the Canadian wildfires led to a Code Red Air Quality Alert for the Philadelphia region that will remain in effect until midnight.<\/p>\n

During a Code Red, everyone should limit time outdoors, especially strenuous activity outside. Those with respiratory conditions, the elderly, and children are most vulnerable and should stay indoors as much as possible.<\/p>\n

If you must be outside, an N95 mask can help filter the smoke particles.<\/p>\n
