Officials have identified a 68-year-old woman who died Tuesday in a house fire in Allentown.<\/p>\n
Hanh Phan was pronounced dead about 10:40 a.m. at the scene of a house fire in the 400 block of North Jerome Street, Coroner Daniel A. Buglio said. Phan was pulled from the first floor of the home by city firefighters.<\/p>\n
Buglio said her death was caused by inhaling products of combustion and thermal injuries. Her death was accidental, the coroner said.<\/p>\n
City firefighters were called to the home about 9:30 a.m. and found fire coming from the side of it. They searched the home and found Phan. The fire went to a second alarm because of the heat and difficulty getting to the fire, the fire department said.<\/p>\n
Four firefighters were hospitalized because of minor injuries. They were discharged by Tuesday afternoon.<\/p>\n
Crews quickly brought the fire under control. Most of the damage was in the back of the home. The Red Cross is helping the other residents displaced in the fire.<\/p>\n
The fire remains under investigation.<\/p>\n
