Class 4A title and repeat as PIAA Class 4A champions. \u2026 Finished 17-2 with a 2.15 earned-run average and 167 strikeouts. Ranked third in Lackawanna League in wins and fourth in strikeouts. \u2026 Missed time in the middle of the season with shin splits, but returned and posted 59 consecutive scoreless innings and nine straight shutouts. The streak ended in the first inning of the state final against Blackhawk. \u2026 Offensively, she led the Lackawanna League in batting at .631 (41 for 65), including six doubles, 10 home runs, 27 runs and 37 RBIs. Ranked second in the league in home runs and hits and tied for third in RBIs. \u2026 Her sixth-inning home run accounted for the lone run in a 1-0 victory over Tunkhannock in the district final. \u2026 Continuing her career at Clemson University. \u2026 Was Lackawanna League Division I Coaches Co-Player of the Year. \u2026 Named Class 4A Player of the Year and first-team all-state by the Pennsylvania High School Softball Coaches Association.<\/p>\n<p>Adrianna Condrad<\/p>\n<p>Abington Heights, Junior, P<\/p>\n<p>Helped lead the Lady Comets to the Lackawanna League Division I and District 2 Class 5A titles and their first trip to the PIAA Class 5A final. \u2026 Went 16-2 with a 1.57 ERA and 191 strikeouts in the circle. Ranked first in the league in ERA, third in strikeouts and fourth in wins. \u2026 Tossed seven shutouts and combined on two others. \u2026 Fanned 17 in District 2 Class 5A semifinals against Crestwood. \u2026 Batted .460 (40 for 87) with 13 doubles, nine home runs, 16 runs and 36 RBIs. Tied for third in league in hits, ranked fifth in RBIs and third in home runs. \u2026 Syracuse University commit. \u2026 PAHSSBCA Class 5A Pitcher of the Year and first-team all-state.<\/p>\n<p>Ava Schmidt<\/p>\n<p>Holy Cross, Senior, P<\/p>\n<p>Was 21-4 in the circle with a 1.59 ERA and 223 strikeouts as the Lady Crusaders captured the Lackawanna League Division II and District 2 Class 1A titles and finished PIAA Class 1A runner-up. She tied for the league-lead in wins and was second in ERA and strikeouts. \u2026 As Holy Cross\u2019 leadoff hitter, she batted .488 (40 for 82) with 14 doubles, three triples, seven home runs, 39 runs and 18 RBIs. Tied for third in the league in hits and ranked third in runs. \u2026 Went 3 for 3 with one RBI in the state final against Union Area. \u2026 Lackawanna League Division II Coaches Player of the Year and PAHSSBCA Class 1A first-team all-state. \u2026 Bound for Moravian University.<\/p>\n<p>Ava Hazelton<\/p>\n<p>Mid Valley, Junior, P<\/p>\n<p>Went 21-4 with a 2.00 ERA and 236 strikeouts as the Spartanettes captured their seventh straight District 2 Class 3A title and advanced to the PIAA Class 3A semifinals. She tied for the Lackawanna League-lead in wins, was first in strikeouts and fourth in ERA. \u2026 Has more than 600 strikeouts in her career. \u2026 Contributed offensively by batting .320 (16 for 50) with four doubles, one triple, three home runs, 13 runs and 17 RBIs. \u2026 PAHSSBCA Class 3A first-team all-state.<\/p>\n<p>Peyton Graboske<\/p>\n<p>Holy Cross, Senior, C<\/p>\n<p>The other half of the battery that led the Lady Crusaders to titles in Lackawanna League Division II and District 2 Class 1A and runner-up finish in PIAA Class 1A. \u2026 She batted .474 (36 for 76) with seven doubles, one triple, 11 home runs, 23 runs and 38 RBIs. Led the league in home runs and ranked second in RBIs. \u2026 Homered leading off the top of the second inning to send Holy Cross on its way to a 3-0 win over Tri-Valley in the PIAA Class 1A semifinals. \u2026 Very good defensive catcher. \u2026 PAHSSBCA Class 1A first-team all-state.<\/p>\n<p>Rachel Walsh<\/p>\n<p>Dunmore, Senior, 1B<\/p>\n<p>Batted .467 (35 for 75) with seven doubles, one triple, seven home runs, 19 runs and 35 RBIs to help the Lady Bucks win 16 games and finish as District 2 Class 2A runnerup. Ranked sixth in the Lackawanna League in RBIs and tied for sixth in home runs. \u2026 Her sacrifice fly in the bottom of the sixth inning drove in the winning run in an 8-7 victory over Holy Redeemer in the district semifinals. \u2026 Also went 7-5 in the circle with 75 strikeouts and a 3.04 ERA. \u2026 PAHSSBCA Class 2A first-team all-state as utility.<\/p>\n<p>Eva Kane<\/p>\n<p>Abington Heights, Junior, 2B<\/p>\n<p>Table-setter at top of the lineup for Lackawanna League Division I and District 2 Class 5A champion and PIAA Class 5A runner-up Lady Comets. \u2026 Batted .470 (39 for 83) in the leadoff spot with 13 doubles, four triples, three home runs, 41 runs and 18 RBIs. Led league in runs, ranked fifth in hits and tied for third in doubles. \u2026 Had a two-run home run in first-round state-playoff win over Upper Moreland and her inside-the-park grand slam in the second inning enabled Abington Heights to seize early control of its 7-0 state semifinal win over Upper Dublin. \u2026 PAHSSBCA Class 5A first-team all-state.<\/p>\n<p>Angela Laskowski<\/p>\n<p>Mid Valley, Freshman, SS<\/p>\n<p>Broke onto the scene by batting .447 (38 for 85) with 11 doubles, two triples, five home runs, 36 runs and 34 RBIs to help the Spartanettes claim their seventh straight District 2 Class 3A crown and reach PIAA Class 3A semifinals. \u2026 Ranked seventh in Lackawanna League in RBIs, sixth in hits and tied for fourth in runs and doubles. \u2026 Had three hits and three RBIs in season opener March 19 against Tunkhannock and just kept going. \u2026 Had a two-homer, four-RBI game against Riverside on May 12; a seven-RBI game April 21 against Honesdale; and a three-hit, five-RBI day May 5 against Lakeland. \u2026 PAHSSBCA Class 3A second-team all-state.<\/p>\n<p>Parker Bennett<\/p>\n<p>Mid Valley, Junior, 3B<\/p>\n<p>Helped the Spartanettes win their seventh straight District 2 Class 3A title and advance to PIAA Class 3A semifinals for the second straight year by batting .444 (32 for 72) with 11 doubles, one triple, 23 runs and 23 RBIs. Tied for fourth in Lackawanna League in doubles. \u2026 Had three-hit games against Dunmore on March 31; Western Wayne on April 8 and May 1; and Honesdale on April 21. \u2026 Contributed two hits \u2013 including a RBI double in the top of the seventh inning \u2013 that broke a scoreless tie in the district final and helped Mid Valley beat Lake-Lehman, 5-1. \u2026 PAHSSBCA Class 3A first-team all-state.<\/p>\n<p>Avary Brister<\/p>\n<p>Abington Heights, Junior, OF<\/p>\n<p>Offensive leader of the Lackawanna League Division I and District 2 Class 5A champion and PIAA Class 5A runner-up Lady Comets. \u2026 Batted .598 (55 for 92) with 17 doubles, one triple, eight home runs, 40 runs and 44 RBIs. Ranked second in the league in batting average and first in RBIs, hits, doubles, second in runs and fourth in doubles. \u2026 Had a four-hit, five-RBI game against North Pocono on April 21. Also drove in five runs April 9 against Scranton. \u2026 Collected her 100th career hit in the state semifinals against Upper Dublin. \u2026 Lackawanna Division I Coaches Co-Player of the Year and PAHSSBCA Class 5A Player of the Year and first-team all-state.<\/p>\n<p>Zoie Krupovich<\/p>\n<p>Valley View, Senior, OF<\/p>\n<p>Batted .425 (37 for 87) with five doubles, one triple, five home runs, 29 runs and 27 RBIs for the four-time District 2 Class 4A and two-time PIAA Class 4A champion Cougars. Tied for seventh in the Lackawanna League in hits. \u2026 Had three hits and four RBIs in district semifinal win over Wallenpaupack on May 20, then was 3 for 3 in state quarterfinal win over Archbishop Carroll on June 4. \u2026 In the state final against Blackhawk, she capped a three-hit, three-RBI performance with a two-run home run in the sixth inning. \u2026 Headed to Bryant University. \u2026 PAHSSBCA Class 4A second-team all-state.<\/p>\n<p>Avarie Roscioli<\/p>\n<p>North Pocono, Sophomore, OF<\/p>\n<p>Helped the Lady Trojans win 16 games and finish as District 2 Class 5A runners-up by batting a team-high .529 (36 for 68) with 10 doubles, six home runs, 26 runs and 24 RBIs. Ranked seventh in the Lackawanna League in batting average, tied for ninth in hits, tied for eighth in doubles and tied for ninth in home runs. \u2026 Had four hits and five RBIs against Delaware Valley on April 14. Hit two solo home runs against Abington Heights on May 15. \u2026 Made a running catch toward right-field line for the final out to secure a 3-2 win over Valley View on April 11. \u2026 PAHSSBCA Class 5A first-team all-state.<\/p>\n<p>MycKenna Kublo<\/p>\n<p>Montrose, Junior, Utility<\/p>\n<p>Batted .493 (37 for 75) with seven doubles, four triples, four home runs, 36 runs and 37 RBIs for the Lackawanna League Division III and District 2 Class 2A champion Lady Meteors. She tied for third in the league in RBIs, tied for fourth in runs, tied for fifth in triples and tied for seventh in hits. \u2026\u00a0 Had a five-RBI game against Blue Ridge on April 27 and four-RBI games against Mountain View on May 4 and Lackawanna Trail on May 7. \u2026 Had two hits and one RBI in first-round state-playoff win over Northwest, which came into the game unbeaten. \u2026 Lackawanna Division III Coaches Player of the year and PAHSSBCA Class 2A first-team all-state at catcher.<\/p>\n<p>COACH OF THE YEAR<\/p>\n<p>Madelynn Guinane<\/p>\n<p>Montrose<\/p>\n<p>In her second season, she guided her alma mater to 19 wins. The Lady Meteors went unbeaten to win the Lackawanna League Division III title. They won the District 2 Class 2A title to reach the PIAA playoffs for the first time since 1994.
