UPPER DARBY, PA \u2014 A 36-year-old man was jailed Thursday after authorities allegedly seized cocaine, a firearm and more than $9,000 during the execution of a search warrant in Upper Darby Township.<\/p>\n
According to the Marple Township Police Department, officers and members of the Delaware County Narcotics Task Force executed the warrant shortly after 6 a.m. July 16 at a residence in the 200 block of Long Lane.<\/p>\n
Police identified the target of the investigation as Raheem Rodgers. Investigators reported that Rodgers was taken into custody without incident.<\/p>\n
During the search, authorities allegedly recovered approximately 15 grams of cocaine, more than $9,000 in U.S. currency, a Glock 27 handgun, bulk drug-packaging materials, suspected drug-manufacturing paraphernalia and multiple cellphones. Police also seized a black Chrysler 300.<\/p>\n
According to police, Rodgers is prohibited from legally possessing a firearm because of a prior conviction.<\/p>\n
Authorities charged Rodgers with dealing in unlawful proceeds, criminal use of a communication facility, possession of a firearm by a prohibited person, carrying a firearm without a license and manufacture, delivery or possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance.<\/p>\n
Police reported that Magisterial District Judge Michael Culp arraigned Rodgers on July 16 and set bail at 10% of $250,000. Rodgers was remanded to Delaware County Prison after he was unable to post bail.<\/p>\n
All suspects, arrestees, and defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.<\/p>\n
