UPPER MILFORD TWP., Pa. – Police said a truck driver is dead following an accident on Route 29 in the area of Beck Road in Upper Milford Township Thursday.<\/p>\n
It happened around 12:30 p.m.<\/p>\n
We spoke with one woman who said she was nearby at the time. She asked to remain anonymous.<\/p>\n
“We saw that a truck lost his brakes and then we saw he had the door opened and he kept driving up onto the side of the grass area,” she said.<\/p>\n
The woman we spoke with said the truck almost flipped over going around the bend near her.<\/p>\n
“We called 911 to tell them there was probably going to be an accident at the bottom of the hill,” she said.<\/p>\n
Power was knocked out for around 45 customers in the area.<\/p>\n
“It was pretty much gut-wrenching because we had no control, but we knew something bad was about to happen,” she said.\u00a0<\/p>\n
The name of the driver who died has not been released.
