Auburn University commit batted .369 (24 for 65) with six doubles, two triples, five home runs, 23 runs and 17 RBIs to help the Comets grab a share of the Lackawanna League Division I title and berth in the District 2 Class 5A semifinals. Tied for third in the league in home runs. \u2026 On the mound, he was 6-1 with a 1.54 earned-run average and 71 strikeouts. Tied for second in the league in wins and ranked third in strikeouts. \u2026 Threw a no-hitter with one walk and 12 strikeouts \u2014 including the 200th of his career \u2014 May 4 against West Scranton. \u2026 Lackawanna Division I Coaches Player of the Year and Pennsylvania Scholastic Baseball Coaches Association Class 5A first-team all-state as athlete.<\/p>\n<p>Nick Bohenek<\/p>\n<p>Riverside, Senior, P<\/p>\n<p>Went 6-1 with a 2.24 ERA and 67 strikeouts for the Lackawanna League Division II champion and District 2 Class 3A runner-up Vikings. Tied for second in league in wins and was seventh in strikeouts. \u2026 Led league in batting at .514 (37 for 72) with five doubles, four triples, four home runs, 35 runs and 29 RBIs. Tied for first in runs and triples, was second in RBIs and hits and tied for fifth in home runs. \u2026 Bound for Wagner College. \u2026 Lackawanna Division II Coaches Player of the Year and PSBCA Class 3A first-team all-state as outfielder.<\/p>\n<p>Mason Stets<\/p>\n<p>Dunmore, Senior, P<\/p>\n<p>Was 6-0 with a 1.37 ERA and 47 strikeouts. Also earned the save in the District 2 Class 3A final as the Bucks repeated as champs. Tied for second in the Lackawanna League in wins and was 15th in strikeouts. \u2026Tossed a complete-game, four-hit shutout with five walks and five strikeouts March 30 in a 3-0 win over Mid Valley. \u2026 Batted .272 (22 for 81) with four doubles, one triple, 23 runs and 11 RBIs. Tied for 12th in league in runs. \u2026 PSBCA Class 3A second-team all-state.<\/p>\n<p>Jordan Jagger<\/p>\n<p>Mountain View, Junior, P<\/p>\n<p>Struck out a Lackawanna League-best 119 batters this season while going 4-4 with a 2.01 ERA. \u2026 Whiffed a season-high 15 in a complete-game one-hitter with two walks May 15 in a 3-1 win over Carbondale Area. Also fanned 14 in 4.2 innings against MMI Prep on April 2 and 13 in 5.1 innings against Lackawanna Trail on May 11. \u2026 Batted .393 (24 for 61) with four doubles, three home runs, 20 runs and 22 RBIs. Tied for 13th in the league in RBIs. \u2026 PSBCA Class 2A first-team all-state.<\/p>\n<p>Alden Felker<\/p>\n<p>Elk Lake, Senior, C<\/p>\n<p>Batted .412 (28 for 68) with 10 doubles, four triples, one home run, 17 runs and 30 RBIs for the District 2 Class 2A runner-up Warriors. Led Lackawanna League in RBIs, tied for eighth in hits, tied for third in doubles and tied for first in triples. \u2026 Collected his 100th career hit April 21 in win over Forest City. Went 3 for 3 with five RBIs in a victory over Blue Ridge on April 23. \u2026 PSBCA Class 2A first-team all-state.<\/p>\n<p>Nick Mills<\/p>\n<p>Mid Valley, Senior, INF<\/p>\n<p>Missed some time this season due to injury, but was still one of the Lackawanna League\u2019s most feared hitters. He batted .411 (23 for 56) with three doubles, one triple, five home runs, 18 runs and 28 RBIs for the three-time District 2 champion Spartans. \u2026 Ranked fourth in league in RBIs and tied for third in home runs. \u2026 Got his 100th career hit April 19 against Lakeland. \u2026 Had three hits, including a two-run home run, and three RBIs in Mid Valley\u2019s comeback win over East Pennsboro in PIAA Class 4A first round. \u2026 PSBCA Class 4A second-team all-state.<\/p>\n<p>Joey Romanosky<\/p>\n<p>Mid Valley, Junior, INF<\/p>\n<p>Smooth fielder helped the Spartans capture a third straight District 2 title \u2014 second consecutive in Class 4A \u2014 and reach the PIAA quarterfinals. \u2026 Batted .424 (36 for 85) with eight doubles, two triples, 24 runs and 15 RBIs. Ranked third in Lackawanna League in hits, tied for seventh in doubles and tied for 10th in runs. \u2026 Went 4 for 4 with a walk and four runs in district semifinal win over Crestwood on May 22. \u2026 PSBCA Class 4A second-team all-state.<\/p>\n<p>Adam Sorensen<\/p>\n<p>Montrose, Junior, INF<\/p>\n<p>Helped the Meteors gain a share of the Lackawanna League Division III title by batting .446 (33 for 74) with 11 doubles, three triples, one home run, 35 runs and 25 RBIs. Tied for first in the league in runs and ranked fourth in hits, seventh in batting average, 10th in RBIs, tied for first in doubles and tied for fourth in triples. \u2026 Had five-RBI game against Blue Ridge on April 27. \u2026 Was 6-3 on the mound with a 1.40 ERA and 68 strikeouts. Tied for second in wins and tied for fifth in strikeouts. \u2026 Notched his 100th career strikeout May 4 against Mountain View. \u2026 Lackawanna Division III Coaches Player of the Year and PSBCA Class 3A first-team all-state.<\/p>\n<p>Jose Sosa<\/p>\n<p>Riverside, Senior, OF<\/p>\n<p>Catalyst at the top of the lineup for the high-powered offense of the Lackawanna League Division II champion and District 2 Class 3A runner-up Vikings. \u2026 Batted .513 (40 for 78) with 11 doubles, two triples, three home runs, 33 runs and 26 RBIs. Led league in hits and ranked second in batting average, fourth in runs, tied for eighth in RBIs, tied for first in doubles and tied for seventh in home runs. \u2026 Good speed allows him to run down balls in center field. \u2026 PSBCA Class 3A first-team all-state.<\/p>\n<p>Jamie McMynne<\/p>\n<p>Dunmore, Senior, OF<\/p>\n<p>Batted .338 (23 for 68) with three doubles, one triple, two home runs, 21 runs and 15 RBIs for the two-time District 2 Class 3A champion Bucks. \u2026 Also was 5-3 on the mound with a 2.40 ERA and 68 strikeouts. Tied for fifth in the Lackawanna League in strikeouts. \u2026 Threw a five-inning perfect game with nine strikeouts April 20 against Holy Cross. \u2026 Was the winning pitcher in the district final against Riverside, tossing five shutout innings on three hits with four walks and seven strikeouts. \u2026 Excellent outfield throwing arm. \u2026 Lackawanna Division II Coaches first-team all-star.<\/p>\n<p>Evan Gonzalez<\/p>\n<p>Abington Heights, Senior, OF<\/p>\n<p>Batted .417 (25 for 60) with four doubles, four triples, one home run, 18 runs and 14 RBIs to help the Comets earn a share of the Lackawanna Division I title and reach District 2 Class 5A semifinals. Tied for the league lead in triples. \u2026 Had three hits in win over Valley View on March 30. Against Delaware Valley on April 16, he went 3 for 3 with a home run, double, two RBIs, four runs and threw 1.2 innings of scoreless relief. \u2026 Tossed two scoreless, hitless innings with no walks and three strikeouts to finish off a two-hit shutout with teammate Will Herold in a 2-0 win over Wallenpaupack on May 7. \u2026 PSBCA Class 5A second-team all-state.<\/p>\n<p>Liam Onofry<\/p>\n<p>Delaware Valley, Senior, UTL<\/p>\n<p>Batted .452 (19 for 42) with three doubles, two triples, six home runs, 18 runs and 20 RBIs for the Warriors. Ranked sixth in the Lackawanna League in batting average and was second in home runs. \u2026 Had two home runs and four RBIs in season-opening win over Scranton Prep on March 26. \u2026 Also had two-homer game with three RBIs April 27 in victory over West Scranton. \u2026PSBCA Class 6A first-team all-state at catcher.<\/p>\n<p>Chris Graff<\/p>\n<p>Riverside, Senior, UTL<\/p>\n<p>Catcher helped the Vikings win 19 games, the Lackawanna League Division II title and finish as District 2 Class 3A runner-up by batting .435 (30 for 69) with 10 doubles, one triple, one home run, 27 runs and 26 RBIs. Ranked ninth in the league in batting average, fourth in hits, tied for eighth in RBIs, tied for seventh in runs and tied for third in doubles. \u2026 Hit safely in 18 of 22 games with 11 multi-hit games.
