BURGETTSTOWN, Pa. \u2014 A number of events went on as planned, despite the smoke, on Friday evening.<\/p>\n
Thousands of people still attended Picklesburgh<\/a>.<\/p>\n A number wore masks as a precaution. <\/p>\n \u201cFrom the smoke and everything, it could cause respiratory issues. It\u2019s just a precaution, but I\u2019m feeling okay,\u201d Gwen Kottler said. She had a mask with her. <\/p>\n One vendor told Channel 11 that he believes the smoke is impacting business.<\/p>\n \u201cIt\u2019s not affecting us, per se, other than the air we are breathing, but the crowd is thinner,\u201d Peter Starr of Pickle Me Pete said.<\/p>\n In Burgettstown, the Motley Crue show went on at the Pavilion at Star Lake. <\/p>\n One concertgoer said he thought the concert should have been canceled. <\/p>\n A spokesperson for Live Nation told us they were monitoring air quality at the venue, and the decision was made that the band would play.<\/p>\n In Oakdale, the annual street fair continued as planned.<\/p>\n In a message posted to Facebook, the fire chief said: <\/p>\n \u201cWe feel that we have no choice but to continue with our biggest and most important fundraiser of the year. If we don\u2019t, we simply won\u2019t be able to pay the bills.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cLuckily, I don\u2019t have to sing too much but the rest of the band will take it easy tonight,\u201d Mario Steffanina said.
