Saquon Barkley and his family are unharmed after at least one burglar entered the Philadelphia Eagles star\u2019s home with them inside early Saturday morning, according to the Tredyffrin Township Police Department.<\/p>\n

Police responded to a report of a burglary in progress at the Tredyffrin Township, Pa., residence around 5:10 a.m., authorities said<\/a>, but the suspects had fled the scene by the time police arrived. The police have not announced any arrests in the case\u00a0but have\u00a0released<\/a>\u00a0a photo of a white SUV<\/a> that may have been involved in the incident.<\/p>\n

It was not immediately clear how many people entered the home, but Tredyffrin Township Police Capt. Tyler Moyer told WCAU-TV<\/a> in Philadelphia that Barkley and his family were inside at the time of the incident.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe know there\u2019s more than one (suspect), but we\u2019re still trying to determine how many were involved,\u201d Moyer told WCAU-TV. \u201c\u2026 All of the occupants in the home were physically OK, obviously a little unsettled as anybody would be, but nobody was harmed.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Chester County (Pa.) The District Attorney\u2019s Office said in a statement that county detectives are assisting Tredyffrin Township police with the investigation, which is ongoing. There have been no other reports of similar activity in the area, according to authorities.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are incredibly grateful that the Barkley family was not injured during this incident,\u201d the district attorney\u2019s office said in the statement posted to Facebook<\/a>. \u201cWe are asking the public to help us identify those responsible by checking any home security cameras for suspicious activity in the area around 5:00 a.m. If you saw anything unusual or have video that may assist investigators, please contact the Tredyffrin Township Police Department immediately.\u201d<\/p>\n

Multiple prominent professional athletes have been victims of home invasions in recent years. Federal prosecutors charged a group of Chilean men<\/a> last year in connection to break-ins at the homes of Kansas City Chiefs teammates Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce, Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow and Milwaukee Bucks forward Bobby Portis Jr.<\/p>\n

Moyer told WCAU-TV that his department would reach out to federal authorities to look into potential connections to other burglaries involving professional athletes.<\/p>\n
