{"id":247427,"date":"2026-07-20T01:24:10","date_gmt":"2026-07-20T01:24:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-pa\/247427\/"},"modified":"2026-07-20T01:24:10","modified_gmt":"2026-07-20T01:24:10","slug":"crews-start-sliding-new-commercial-street-bridge-into-place-on-the-parkway-east","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-pa\/247427\/","title":{"rendered":"Crews start sliding new Commercial Street Bridge into place on the Parkway East"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"default__StyledText-sc-tl066j-0 gJuxXh body-paragraph\">PITTSBURGH \u2014 Days after the old <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wpxi.com\/news\/local\/clean-up-already-underway-demo-site-old-commercial-street-bridge\/7LPEBJZBDFGEBJ4DHBPKL5C5EY\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.wpxi.com\/news\/local\/clean-up-already-underway-demo-site-old-commercial-street-bridge\/7LPEBJZBDFGEBJ4DHBPKL5C5EY\/\">Commercial Street Bridge was imploded<\/a>, the new bridge is being slid into place. <\/p>\n<p class=\"default__StyledText-sc-tl066j-0 gJuxXh body-paragraph\">The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation said crews started the lateral slide of the new I-376 Commercial Street Bridge around 10 a.m. Sunday. <\/p>\n<p class=\"default__StyledText-sc-tl066j-0 gJuxXh body-paragraph\">In all, PennDOT says the fully constructed bridge will move 102 feet into its new place.
