A Berks County-based foundation helps families who are dealing with the loss of a baby or toddler.<\/p>\n
The Adalyn Rose Foundation launched in 2019 and has reached a major milestone.<\/p>\n
It now partners with 50 hospitals across the United States and provides a total of 58 Remembrance Carts that offer immediate resources and guidance to grieving families.<\/p>\n
Each Remembrance Cart is made possible through donations, community fundraisers, and families who sponsor a cart in a baby’s memory.<\/p>\n
The founders, Chloe and Adam Ciferrri, started the foundation after she lost their daughter Adalyn during the second trimester. Chloe and her husband knew she wanted to honor Adalyn and help other families who experience similar tragedies.<\/p>\n
They say after their experience, they didn’t want any family to navigate the death of a child alone.<\/p>\n
“We couldn’t have done anything without all of the other families also saying, you know, we’re in this together,” “You lose a child and its coined as the most difficult experience you go through but we’ve realized that when you have other people that you can connect with that you can look at and say, ‘hey buddy, hey friend, we’re not alone in this, we got each other.\u2019”<\/p>\n

The annual Duck Derby will be Reading. It’s a fun family-friendly event where thousands of rubber duckies will race down to raise money for local charities.<\/p>\n
