(WPVI) &#8212; A father and son charged with throwing an <a class=\"zZygg UbGlr iFzkS qdXbA WCDhQ DbOXS tqUtK GpWVU iJYzE \" data-testid=\"prism-linkbase\" href=\"https:\/\/6abc.com\/post\/father-arrested-son-being-sought-explosion-polling-place-lehigh-county-pennsylvania\/19145734\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">explosive device from a vehicle<\/a> near a polling place on Election Day will go to trial.<\/p>\n<p class=\"EkqkG IGXmU nlgHS yuUao lqtkC TjIXL aGjvy \">Matthew Pletz, 56, and Jack Pletz, 24, face multiple felony charges.<\/p>\n<p class=\"EkqkG IGXmU nlgHS yuUao lqtkC TjIXL aGjvy \">On Wednesday, a judge upheld those charges.<\/p>\n<p class=\"EkqkG IGXmU nlgHS yuUao lqtkC TjIXL aGjvy \">The incident happened a block from Salem United Church of Christ in Catasauqua, Pennsylvania, back on primary day in May.<\/p>\n<p class=\"EkqkG IGXmU nlgHS yuUao lqtkC TjIXL aGjvy \">No one was injured.<\/p>\n<p class=\"EkqkG IGXmU nlgHS yuUao lqtkC eTIW sUzSN \">The district attorney says there&#8217;s no evidence that the incident was related to the election or the church.<\/p>\n<p>Copyright \u00a9 2026 WPVI-TV.
