EXETER, Pa. – A 39-year-old man of Exeter has been arrested for possession of an estimated $16,800 worth of drugs and 15 firearms, according to the Berks County District Attorney.<\/p>\n
The suspect, Adalberto Acevedo Jr., has been formally charged and arraigned, with his bail set at $250,000, The DA’s office said.<\/p>\n
According to the DA, on Wednesday, the Berks County Drug Task Force and additional police departments completed a search of a residence on Overlook Drive, Exeter Township.<\/p>\n
The DA says the following evidence was seized from the home:<\/p>\n
Approximately four pounds of marijuana<\/p>\n
Approximately 60 grams of cocaine<\/p>\n
Five digital scales, with suspected drug residue<\/p>\n
Packaging materials commonly used for the distribution of narcotics<\/p>\n
Assorted ammunition and firearm magazines<\/p>\n
$37,333 in United States currency is believed to be the proceeds of illegal drug sales<\/p>\n
15 firearms, including nine handguns and six rifles<\/p>\n
According to attorneys, Acevedo\u2019s charges include:<\/p>\n
Possession With Intent to Deliver a Controlled Substance (Felony)<\/p>\n
Possession of a Controlled Substance (Misdemeanor)<\/p>\n
Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (Misdemeanor)<\/p>\n
Persons Not to Possess, Use, Manufacture, Control, Sell, or Transfer Firearms (Felony)<\/p>\n
The investigation revealed Acevedo had previously been convicted of felony drug offenses, making him prohibited under Pennsylvania law from possessing or controlling firearms, say officials.<\/p>\n
