LACKAWANNA CO. (WOLF) \u2014 A 51-year-old Lackawanna County man is facing terroristic threats charges after Pennsylvania State Police say he used social media to make violent threats against law enforcement officers, judges, prosecutors and elected officials.<\/p>\n
According to Pennsylvania State Police, Stacy W. Mann, of Dickson City, was arrested Wednesday following an investigation by the agency’s Political Violence Threat Unit, working in conjunction with the U.S. Secret Service.<\/p>\n
Investigators allege Mann made online statements threatening to kill law enforcement officers, judges, district attorneys, state senators, state representatives and other government officials. Police also allege he expressed an intention to livestream the attacks on social media.<\/p>\n
Mann was taken into custody without incident, state police said.<\/p>\n
Court records show Mann has been charged with one misdemeanor count of terroristic threats with intent to terrorize another. He was arraigned Wednesday and bail was set at $25,000 monetary bail. Unable to post bail, Mann was committed to the Lackawanna County Prison. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Aug. 5.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"LACKAWANNA CO.
