The kennels are now full, and unfortunately, animals are timestamped for euthanasia due to the lack of space and resources. <\/p>\n<p>ACCT Philly is making new incentives available to encourage more people to foster and adopt dogs and cats. <\/p>\n<p>Executive Director Sarah Barnett said <a href=\"https:\/\/acctphilly.org\/10-adoptions-at-acct-philly-thanks-to-bissell-pet-foundations-empty-the-shelters-july\/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">all adoption fees are $10<\/a> now through the weekend. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cYou can come in and get a dog or cat for $10, who is already vaccinated, spayed or neutered, microchipped,\u201d she said. \u201cComes with a bag of food and lots of coupons.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>Fostering frees up kennel space, too. Thanks to a generous donor, anyone who fosters a dog 40 pounds or larger for four weeks, or until they are adopted, will receive $200. Rescue organizations that take one in will get $750, and an additional $500 if they take two.<\/p>\n<p>A free spay and neuter program is available to pet owners in 22 of the most under-resourced ZIP codes in Philadelphia to help reduce the general pet population.
