Allegheny Health Network has named the new president of AHN West Penn Hospital.<\/p>\n

Doug Johnston will take over the position effective Aug. 1. He previously served as the hospital\u2019s chief operating officer.<\/p>\n

As president, Johnston will work in close partnership with West Penn’s physician chairs to further elevate the hospital’s clinical services and advance its reputation as a national leader in patient care.<\/p>\n

Before joining West Penn Hospital, Johnston served as vice president of operations at AHN Allegheny Valley Hospital, where he led operational improvement efforts and infrastructure initiatives across the campus.<\/p>\n

He also served as vice president of strategic operations for Allegheny Health Network, overseeing AHN’s annual capital budget and facilitating organizationwide strategic planning initiatives.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Doug Johnston, president of Allegheny Health Network’s West Penn Hospital.
