Families preparing for the upcoming school year will have an opportunity to receive free school supplies this weekend as Round Room, LLC, a Verizon authorized retailer, hosts its annual School Rocks Backpack Giveaway.<\/p>\n
Now in its 14th year, the nationwide event will distribute an estimated $3 million worth of free backpacks to students across the country. The giveaway is designed to help ease the financial burden many families face during the back-to-school shopping season.<\/p>\n
The giveaway will take place on July 26, beginning at 1 p.m. Officials expect lines to form before the event starts as hundreds of families are anticipated to participate.<\/p>\n

In addition to receiving a free backpack, attendees can enjoy a variety of family-friendly activities. Depending on the location, festivities may include dunk tanks, obstacle courses, giveaways from local businesses, and other entertainment.<\/p>\n
The event is part of Round Room’s ongoing effort to support students and families as they prepare for a new academic year. The annual giveaway has helped thousands of students nationwide start the school year with the supplies they need to succeed.<\/p>\n
